holy grail

thelonious monk and john coltrane - two giants of the jazz world, worked together briefly, but did not record much. recently tapes were discovered and a cd released

normally i am skeptical of such things - often they are just a way of making a few bucks off of jazz giants legacy...in this case, however, it is a revelation. perfect music. a classic. there hardly can be hyperbole about it...as one amazon reviewer called it, is is the jazz holy grail...

thanks to david for reminding me of its release this past tuesday

I was thinking more along the lines of Monty Python re: Holy Grail...
