how do you know your cat is sentient?
dictinary.com defines sentient as:
1.having the power of perception by the senses; conscious.
2.characterized by sensation and consciousness.
while i am not sure of all the other aspects, he can definitely hear the cat food can opening and smell the food, so i think he qualifies under definition 1...
oh, sorry, I was going by the Star Trek definition wich includes self-awareness. Silly me ;)
well, he's that too...
