awesome show...
discovered an awesome new show thanks to my friend's kid...
wonder pets.
my own kids are too old for it, but somehow, paradoxically i am not and love it. seriously. mix of animation and animated photos. a duck, turtle and hamster save an animal in distress each episode in an operatic manner. each episode has the same format, same tunes, lyrics adapted to the specific dilemma...
i think for kids the sameness is comforting. for me, the sameness reinforces the archetypal nature of the story lines...someone once said, there are only two stories: a stranger comes to town and a hero makes a quest...this is decidedly in the 'a hero takes a quest" camp - but the heroes are cute fuzzy animals and the quest involves saving another cute animal. each story concludes with an ode to teamwork...
no, i have not cracked up - great stuff...

I haven't seen Wonder Pets, but I did watch an episode of my 2-yr.-old cousin's favorite show, Backyardigans. Same thing: cute, funny, totally accessible to adults as well as to rugrats.
Sorry to hear about your achin' back! Are you going to a chiropractor, doping up on painkillers, or just dealing with it? Whatever you do, I hope you feel better soon. Getting old bites.
a lot of kids shows are fun...they seem somehow more sophisticated than the kids shows when i was a kid - save a few...
as far as back, just taking it easy - feels a lot better last couple of days...motrin and icy hot...ultimately, reviving my yoga practice is what is needed
