non-summer update...

well, the non-summer continues. i have just enough work to keep me busy without being too taxing - yet it doesn't really feel like summer - haven't done many summer activities. i'm not complaining - well, maybe i am a bit - but it's my own fault - maybe we can go to a park later today apres my meeting...

anyhow - i want a new car - what should i get?

i also want this messenger bag (ah, llbean uses websphere - ah - the burden of being a geek and not being able to look at a url without evaluating it...

oh yeah - i want some new clothes - anyone have some, um, age appropriate suggestions?

geesh, i'm getting shallow and materialistic!

anyhow, saw a squirrel chasing a butterfly yesterday on campus and it was pretty funny - saw a squirrel in the same spot today - he seems pretty nice - perhaps we can become friends...

i also saw a humming bird in our yard this AM - was v. cool...

here are some photos...

listening to: solex and dave holland (and the white stripes, on those rare occassions i find myself on my bike)
reading - started rushdie's fury - not sure if i'll make it - not really summer reading...

p.s. oh yeah - next week, i am conducting 4 - one hour sessions about web development for high school students...if anyone out there is religiously inclined, a prayer would be appreciated...i don't really believe in prayer - at least not that sort, but what the heck - any port in a storm...

Get a Honda Civic hybrid. I calculated that if you drive 10,000 miles a year and get 50mpg and the cost of gas goes up to $3, it will only cost you around $500/year for gas. Not bad, huh? Plus, they don't look like a hybrid. They look like a normal car.

We're looking at the Civic Hybrid and a Prius for a new car.

Clothing? I haven't done much clothes shopping lately. I did buy a new suit for a wedding later this summer. Mostly I've been in jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts and shorts, with the occasional khakis thrown in for work.

I have an Ogio messenger bag that I love, but they have discontinued the model.

Clothing: Linen. You can't fail with pure linen over the hottest months of the year.

Car: Chrysler PT Cruiser. Oh, mama!

A little ironing has never killed anyone.
