why is a carefully crafted unkempt look (tossled hair, unshaven, rumpled clothing) fashionable, but a sincere, natural unkempt look (tossled hair, unshaven, rumpled clothing) slovenly...

I've never really understood fashion. The only thing I care about is if clothes match, they aren't 10 years out of date, and they are comfortable. I think the hairstyle thing has to do with the effort you put into it, but how people can tell the difference is beyond me.

While rolling out of bed is easy, it takes more time and energy to look that way...Believe me, women can tell the difference!
I know a young woman who takes great pains to make her hair look craftedly unkempt, and it shows.
I don't know anyone who deliberately rumples their clothes though. haha.
I call it the before and after look! heheh!
